Webinar

The real cost of not using clear language

Join this webinar if you’re looking to convince your place of work that writing in clearer language would be beneficial. Use the results of powerful research to help persuade and influence.

About this webinar

Sometimes it’s difficult to get your organisation to understand that it has a language problem. That the long words, complex sentences and jargon are turning people off.

Christine Cawthorne paired up with law professor Christopher Trudeau to take an in-depth look at people’s preferences for clear language. Building on Chris’ previous study from 2012, the second study found out more about what people do when they don’t understand what they’re reading and what it means for productivity.

This webinar goes through that study and picks out the most useful bits to help you inform your arguments.

What will I learn?

From this webinar you'll leave understanding:

  • What happens when people don’t understand what they’re reading
  • Research points to help you back up your arguments
  • Ways to persuade and inform your organisation
  • Ideas to implement using clear language at work
