Our newly-released, updated plugin for WordPress is full of new features - making it our most powerful CMS integration so far.The updated GatherContent WordPress plugin allows you to:

• Quickly import structured content from your GatherContent projects into your WordPress site
• Import your GatherContent media as attachments, galleries, content images, custom fields, etc
• Push WordPress content updates back to your GatherContent projects
• Export your existing WordPress content to GatherContent
• Change the status of your GatherContent items from the WordPress dashboard
• ... and much more!

With the WordPress plugin, we are connecting a powerful content production platform to the world's most popular content publishing platform, and with the improvements, the integration is more robust and flexible than ever.Your content can be imported as pages, posts, media or custom post types. And you can choose to create new Items or overwrite existing entities.Using a new feature of the plugin, Template Mappings, you will be able to map your GatherContent Templates to various fields in WordPress. These include; title, body content, and other post fields, custom fields, tags, categories, Yoast meta fields, featured images … and many more. It also allows you to directly embed images and files.

This is a major improvement over having to map fields for individual Items, as you create one mapping for your templates, and all your content will be imported/exported according to those rules.Another major improvement is that, along with being able to pull GatherContent Items and updates, you are now also able to get your WordPress items and updates back to GatherContent.

If you are a user of the previous version of the plugin, you'll want to update today to take advantage of the new features. The plugin will retain the WordPress/GatherContent item connection you have created, but you will be able to create Template Mappings for those items to allow bulk-updating, bulk-pushing to GatherContent, changing the GatherContent status, and other changes.

You will also be able to see information related to the connected GatherContent including the updated date, item name/link, item status, whether your WordPress content is up-to-date with the GatherContent item, and the associated Template Mapping.
